Skippy's Machine Tools in Middleton, Tamworth.
Wide span workshop building used to store engineering machinery, tools and equipment.
This low level steel building was sunk into the landscape as requested by planners for an unobtrusive development adjacent to green belt and agricultural land.
Format had to strengthen the rafters as planning requested 120mm insulated composite roof panels.
As the outside was brick we used plastisol flashings to tidy off any area's where steel and brick come together, all in the same colour as the roof to help the steel building to blend into the surrounding area.
The customer was more thank happy with his building that he ordered another smaller building.
